This biennial event, hosted in Cologne, Germany, showcased an array of companies and associations from around the world, reaffirming its status as the epicentre of international gastronomy.
A global tapestry of flavours
The 2023 edition of Anuga saw an impressive turnout of 7,850 exhibitors from 118 countries. The event transformed the Cologne Trade Fair grounds into a mosaic of international flavours and innovations. Prominent European participants included representatives from Great Britain, Italy, the Netherlands, Spain, and Turkey. Notable participants from outside Europe included Brazil, China, Japan, South Korea, and the United States. This global gathering provided a unique platform for networking, knowledge exchange, and business collaborations.
Our stand: European Food and Wine Programme
Our stand was perfectly positioned between the gourmet food sections in Halls 4 and 5, ensuring it caught the eye of many attendees. With its warm and elegant design, the stand captured the essence of European culinary tradition and provided an inviting space for visitors to explore our offerings.
Spanish elegance: A showcase of Iberian wines
A highlight at our stand was the exquisite selection of wines from four distinct Spanish regions. Carefully chosen to represent the diversity and richness of Spain’s viticultural heritage, these wines invited visitors on a sensory journey through the vineyards of La Mancha, Jumilla, and Almansa.
Sustainability in focus
Our goal was not only to showcase the high quality, rich tradition, and innovative practices of European sustainable products but also to emphasise their positive impacts on the environment and society. Throughout the event, we conducted continuous food and wine tastings. Our sommelier and event hostesses were always on hand to explain the sustainability concept, present the products, and distribute informational leaflets.
Daily highlights
The event lasted five days, from morning to late afternoon, giving us plenty of time to showcase our products and promote the programme. Each day was filled with engaging interactions and tastings, attracting a steady stream of curious visitors. The lively atmosphere and continuous flow of guests made each day exciting and rewarding.
A culinary journey across continents
Anuga Cologne 2023 brilliantly illustrated how food and beverage can bring the world together, crossing borders and cultures. The event’s diverse international participation, especially highlighted by the European Food and Wine Programme, demonstrated the wide-reaching appeal and influence of the global food industry.
