Sustainable Food and Wine Tasting at the For Gastro & Hotel Fair
On November 2, 2023, Prague played host to an unforgettable event at the 13th annual For Gastro & Hotel fair. This major gathering in the HoReCa sector showcased the latest trends and innovations in hospitality and gastronomy, with 128 exhibitors across a spacious 4,300 square meter venue in Letňany. Among these, our vibrant 54 square meter booth stood out, attracting considerable attention.
A Dual approach: B2B and B2C
Our participation in this event had a dual purpose. We engaged with both business professionals and general consumers, seamlessly blending B2B and B2C elements. This approach allowed us to reach a wider audience and effectively promote our mission of sustainability.
Engaging the crowd
Our event was designed to be interactive and engaging. Throughout the day, we offered continuous food and wine tastings, guided by our expert sommelier and enthusiastic hostesses. Visitors were treated to a tasting menu crafted from our partners’ sustainable products, accompanied by informative presentations on the benefits of sustainability.
Our target audience was broad yet specific, including young adults (18-35 years old) who are conscious about their diet and committed to environmental sustainability, as well as older adults (35-55 years old) who make food purchasing decisions for their households. We reached out to them through social media, personal invitations, and word of mouth, ensuring a diverse and engaged crowd.
Interactive and informative
The event featured a variety of interactive elements. Our sommelier and hostesses were always available to discuss our mission and answer questions. Informative leaflets provided detailed insights into the sustainability aspects of our products. We also organized a popular raffle, with visitors receiving numbers on wine corks as they sampled our offerings. The excitement culminated in the distribution of branded gift bags to the lucky winners.
Highlights and success
The highlight of the day was the overwhelming response from attendees. Our booth saw over a hundred visitors, all eager to learn about and taste our sustainable products. The positive feedback and high levels of engagement underscored the success of our event. The combination of delicious tastings, engaging discussions, and fun activities made it a memorable experience for everyone involved.
Connecting with the community
In conclusion, the B2C Sustainable Food and Wine Tasting at the For Gastro & Hotel fair in Prague was an exceptional platform for promoting our mission. By integrating B2B and B2C elements, we were able to effectively communicate the importance of sustainability in the food and beverage industry. The event’s success has inspired us to continue our efforts in fostering a sustainable future.
