Warsaw B2B workshop: sustainability, quality and a focused tasting for trade professionals
On 9 June 2025 (11:00–12:30), we hosted a B2B workshop in Warsaw at Le Rendez-Vous (Mokotowska 8, 00-642), inviting HoReCa and retail professionals, buyers, importers and distributors to discover the programme’s sustainable basket through a practical, trade-oriented format. Following our Year 2 B2B activation in Krakow, Warsaw provided a change of setting and helped us reach new professional contacts in the market.
The workshop combined a short theory component on sustainable production methods with a guided tasting designed to link sustainability to what matters most for trade audiences: product quality, consistency and credibility. The session was led by two Polish wine professionals: Ewa Starzycka and Wojciech Starzycki, both experienced sommeliers in European wines. In addition, Wojciech brought specific expertise in sustainability through the California Sustainable Winegrowing Ambassador Course, supporting a clear explanation of how sustainability practices can influence quality outcomes and production choices.
Recruitment followed a structured approach. Around three months before the event, we reached out by phone and email to a database of hundreds of potential buyers to gauge initial interest and availability. Approximately one month before, a second targeted call was implemented with local partners, contacting around 300 selected B2B prospects and inviting them to register. Around 100 contacts expressed non-binding interest; in the final confirmation round, 30 relevant partners confirmed attendance, and 16 professionals ultimately joined the workshop.
During the tasting, participants sampled six Slovak wines from Shebo Winery and MOVINO, with Happylife grissini served to neutralise the palate between wines. The selection included: Shebo Winery Chateau Modra Premium Veltlínske zelené, Sauvignon Blanc, Dunaj; and MOVINO Saint Laurent (sparkling, brut), Devín výber z hrozna 2024, and Hron. The main communication theme remained consistent throughout: showcasing how sustainable production methods are applied in practice and how they can be reflected in the quality and character of the wines presented.
