B2B wine workshop in Hamburg
On November 18, 2024, we hosted a B2B wine workshop in Hamburg, bringing together professionals from the wine industry to explore the quality and sustainability of European wines. The event took place at Villa Verde Hamburg, a venue known for its focus on wine education, making it the perfect setting for this experience.
A workshop designed for wine professionals
The goal was clear: showcase our wines, highlight their sustainability values, and create a space for professionals to taste, learn, and connect. The event was divided into two parts:
- A seminar led by wine expert Thomas Götz, focusing on sustainability in European wine production and EU Quality Schemes. During the session, participants tasted nine wines, each representing different aspects of sustainable winemaking.
- A free tasting area where attendees could explore 82 wines at their own pace, exchange insights with fellow professionals, and engage with campaign representatives to learn more about the wines and their production methods
Bringing the right people together
We wanted the right audience, so we reached out directly to industry professionals through targeted invitations, collaborations with Sommelier Union, and features in Spaniens Weinwelten newsletter.
The result? 34 professionals from the wine, gastronomy, and import sectors joined us, including sommeliers from top restaurants, importers, distributors, and wine journalists. The diversity of attendees created a dynamic space where knowledge and experiences were shared in a meaningful way.
A great setting for networking and discovery
From the moment attendees arrived, everything was designed to immerse them in the experience. Brochures, tasting notes, and a wine catalogue were available, giving them all the details they needed to explore the wines in depth. Roll-up banners reinforced key sustainability messages, making sure that the focus on quality and responsible production was present throughout the event.
The setup encouraged conversation, discovery, and new connections. Professionals exchanged opinions, discussed the wines, and deepened their understanding of sustainability in winemaking.
Looking ahead: What’s next for sustainable wine
The event helped raise awareness about sustainable European wines and strengthened connections within the German wine industry. Attendees left with a better understanding of our wines and the values behind them, and many expressed interest in future collaborations.
Germany is a key market, and events like this help build stronger relationships with importers, distributors, and hospitality professionals. More activities are on the way to continue expanding awareness and reinforcing sustainability in the wine sector.
